Hey so maybe I put off updating this because I wanted to make it all fancy with graphics and stuff, but that’s not happening right now and hasn’t for the past couple months so I will just post a small update. 😸
Locations:
The Apple Festival just happened and was great this year! Saturday could have had nicer weather but it still beat getting completely flooded out like last year. 😅 Thanks to anyone who stopped by!
TOMORROW, Sunday 20th of October, is the Art & Eats at Sons of Liberty event, Sunday 12-6pm at 1425 Kingstown Rd, South Kingstown Rhode Island. If you happen to be in the area stop on by!
November 2nd I will be at Waterfire in Providence RI 4:30-9pm
New items:

Working on more Silly Kitty Mugs, as always each one is unique so its fun to see how they evolve.
I tried to make some garden mushrooms that you stick in the ground from porcelain, they’re kind of cute I probably wont try again though as the firing rig I made sagged terribly in the kiln.
Thinking of branching out with other creatures for planters at least, in the 5th photo there is an in-progress rabbit…
And Yarn bowls are getting an update! I got a silhouette machine to makes stencils for the sheep and I’m trying adding a pop of color to the inside, we’ll see how they come out…
Pottery Tip:
How to keep rims from distorting when taking a wet piece off the wheel, stick a piece of newsprint on top before moving and it will help keep the round shape!
For the video ignore the mess and I recommend being a little more gentle taking the paper off than I showed… But other than that I use this tip all the time and I’m surprised I don’t see more people using it, maybe it’s embarrassing to be bad at taking fresh work off the wheel? Well whatever works is what I say!
Anyway, Thanks for reading!
